Symi is one of the Dodecanese islands, situated where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, also close to the Turkish coastline. On first appearnce this very rugged island gives a misleading impression. To the south west of the island it is possible to visit Panormitis bay, where there is afamous 18th century monastery and museum, your yacht can anchor in the bay as you go ashore to explore.
